By Jove What A Band is the story of Arthur Delamont and his world famous,
Vancouver Kitsilano Boys Band. The Red Cape Boys is a collection of 30 chapters on
30 old boys from the band who went on to fame and fortune. The Worlds Most Famous
Boys Band is a pictorial record of Arthur Delamont and his band, with 500 photos on
300 pages.
Our guide books on  First Nations Tourism can be found on a separate web page
under
www.adventureguides.biz.
The preservation  of Canada's musical history is important
especially today when the arts seem to be the first field of
endeavour that is cut from school budgets. Often the arts are
relegated to the level of  frivolous entertainment with little more
importance towards the development of the individual than to
entertain or to occupy ones spare time.
Even the slightest look at an organization such as   the
Vancouver Boys' Band, illustrates the true value of even a part
time musical education in  developing  skills in the individual.
Skills such as leadership, team work, doing one's best at all
times, appreciation of others, appreciation of what is good in life as
well as in music, how to conduct oneself in public and out, how to
dress appropriately and how to be a contributing part of the
greater society of man.
Our three historical books on the Life and Times of Arthur Delamont and his world
famous Vancouver Boys Band are now available in the high school and elementary
school libraries of the Vancouver School District. For the first time future generations of
young people will be able to read about  the value of  music and what it can bring to
their lives just as it did to countless hundreds of boys who passed through the
Vancouver Boys Band from 1928 through 1974.
